Freeze
Freeze is a control effect in Oaken Tower. It stops the opponent's item cooldowns from ticking down for a duration, dealing no damage. Its current source is the Icicle.
How it works
- A control effect: it stops the enemy's item cooldowns from ticking down for a duration. It deals no damage.
- Current source is the Icicle: 4 charges, freezes enemy items for 2s on trigger. By star it freezes 1 random enemy item (0 star), then 2 (1 star), then 3 (2 star), then all enemy items (3 star).
- It doesn't affect items already mid trigger, Start of Combat triggers, or continuous sustained fire. It only delays cooldown progress.
Lyra is a different mechanic: she no longer grants combat Freeze. Her Absolute Zero option "freezes" the shop pool, so marked offers persist through rerolls and grow more likely to appear (Deep Freeze). It never touches enemy cooldowns.
