Sup chat?
Direct messages and groups in the tavern, along with the feed. This was the vision all along, I hope you like it! The whole site works on a phone now too.
oaken.gg has chat now. This post covers what came with it: the tavern rebuilt as one hub, direct messages and groups, a mobile layout for the whole site and more.
The tavern
The feed, the chat and the quest board are rooms of one tavern now, new additions like the Live panel added, with more coming soon.
Chat

Messages can be edited, quoted in replies, reacted to, and searched. Groups function fully, very similar to Discord. A sound plays when a message arrives, in order to mute, you can set that off in your profile settings or simply put your profile status to DnD.
Conversations open outside the tavern too: you can pull up chat anywhere on the website!
You decide who can message you. A first message from someone you don't follow waits in your requests until you accept it, and the strictest setting allows mutuals only. Mutuals is the site's new word for two people who follow each other, and it shows on profiles.
Mobile responsiveness
Every page was reworked for phones. In the tavern the rooms become full screen drawers, and the keyboard resizes the chat instead of pushing the page around. The builder and the tier forge have phone layouts too, although still in progress and will probably be polished later on.
Around the site
The golden log is here, and it's our new logo! oaken.gg received a full make-over, and the wiki has a page per item type, a stat row per star level, and an ability search that filters by effect. I'm planning to add more guides, features and so on for the wiki.
